www.freeonlinebibleclasses.com sponsored by Greater Life Apostolic Church is an free online bible school whose goal is to provide Holy Ghost filled saints of God with tools to live victorious. We not only teach the Word of God, but we help students learn how to engage in the Word of God.
We are opening to the public a discussion on the topic of “Perception”.
Highlights of the class:
We all have the ability to perceive and to process information through our senses. We collect information the same way, but the output or results are different between each person.
Jesus Christ says, “There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him; but the things which come out of him, those are they that define the man…”
Our perceptions are the results or outputs; Jesus called them fruit. Information enters in through our five senses, smell, taste, see, hear, touch and is processed by our mind. Jesus says, “…the light of the body is the eye, if the eye be whole, so is the body…”
Our mind processes information by comparing what we know (past experiences or information) to what we are experiencing at the moment. This happens automatically for all humans. The older we get or the more exposure we have on a given experience or subject, the more we have to draw from.
When we reach something unfamiliar to us, which means you have nothing from your past to compare the new experience with it, our thoughts will automatically try to resolve the confusion by associating the new experience with something as closely related or sometimes, depending on our up bringing, we may walk away finding the new experience overwhelming.
Our perceptions form our opinions, ideas, character, and lifestyle. As a believer these perceptions also drive our beliefs in God, interpretation of scripture, doctrinal acceptance and etc.
This course is designed to teach each student how to recognize when our perception is conflicting with the will of God and what to do about it.
