In order for a child of God to have the righteousness of Jesus Christ abiding in him, he must continue to abide in Jesus Christ through much consecration, fasting and praying working together will position the believer so that they can handle the Word of Life line upon line and precept upon precept. The work and purpose of the Spirit of God in us is so that he can form in us the righteousness of God.

We are told not to quench the Holy Spirit, we are told not to grieve the Holy Ghost, yet we do it by not following Christ, by not discerning the Lord’s body. When Jesus Christ returns we must not be found with our own righteousness remaining in us. Instead, He must present us to Himself a church without spot, or wrinkle or any such thing. We must make sure that we are found in him and not amongst those who have done many wonderful works in Jesus’ name, but was not found with the righteousness or the testimony of Jesus Christ abiding in them.

Heb 6:1-3
1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.And this will we do, if God permit.

Ps 17:15 As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.
