The Word For Today is Consecration. The scripture that Pastor William King refers to is from the book of Romans 12:1-2 and Romans 8:26-27. The word consecration is the act of separating from what is common to a sacred use. God teaches us that consecration is necessary in order for His righteousness or godliness to form in us. We can have a praying life without living consecrated, but we cannot live consecrated without having a praying life. A consecrated life positions a child of God to be formed by the Holy Ghost.

Rom 12:1
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
